DiskPiano ("we", "our", "us") provides music-related software, websites, and mobile applications designed to interact with self-playing pianos, MIDI devices, and digital instruments.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share your information when you use DiskPiano on any platform.

2.2. Device & Piano/MIDI Information

When you connect your piano or MIDI adapter to DiskPiano, we may collect:

  • Local usage statistics (tempo changes, song selections, etc.)

These data points are used only to provide functionality and diagnostics.

2.3. User-Uploaded MIDI Files (Cloud Sync)

If a user uploads a MIDI file into the app, the MIDI file itself is transmitted to our servers for:

  • Multi-device synchronization
  • Playback continuity
  • Analysis and improvement of sync features
  • Future device linking (when accounts are introduced)

Uploaded MIDI files can be retrieved from another device logged into the same future account.

We do not sell or share MIDI files with third parties.

  • ConnectedToPiano events

2.5. Payment Information

DiskPiano does not process or store payment information.

All payments are handled exclusively by:

  • Apple In-App Purchases
  • Google Play Billing

Your credit card information is never received or stored by DiskPiano.

We may only receive anonymous transaction metadata (e.g., subscription active/inactive).

We rely on contractual protections such as SCCs (Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable.

  • Firebase Analytics: standard retention (up to 26 months)
  • Crash logs (Sentry): up to 90 days
  • MIDI files uploaded by users: until the user deletes the file or requests deletion
  • Email/support requests: as needed to fulfill support
